Bethan was an Arts Network Associate Staff worker in Manchester, supporting creative students in that area.
Bethan Wilson's is a ceramic artist. Her work memorialises Britain's historic industries. Since 2016 she has made vessels & plates referencing the Potteries & the collieries of Stoke-on-Trent; her mother's birthplace. The vessel forms suggest the shape of the mining lamps & the bottle kilns, whilst the stamped & illustrative details depict familiar symbols as well as portraits of the workers. In the past year she has developed her glaze palette and has introduced black stoneware into her collection.
