Matthew Roe
Matthew grew up in West Yorkshire, and studied History as an undergraduate at Oxford, during which he served on the Christian Union executive committee (and wrote his thesis on the history of the Oxford CU). He then continued on to a Masters, where he researched the role of Baptists in the campaign to abolish the slave trade. Whilst at Oxford he helped form a group for Christian history students, and has also participated in the Christianity and History Forum – a group for Christian academic historians. He now works for B-Less, a charity helping to enable graduate students to support Christian undergraduates in their faith and witness to the university.
