The Arts Network (AN) ran regional training events in the spring. They aimed to run more localised events than national ones than in the previous term, to help students build friendship with students in the arts around them.
The group in London began with an online event with speaker and artist Makoto Fujimura. Wonderfully, they had over 45 tune in for the evening. Reflecting on it, AN Co-ordinator Lois says, ‘Makoto spoke so elegantly, at their level and it was obvious that he had so much love towards students. Students asked many great question and many found the experience really beneficial.’ They ran a few further sessions, including an interview with Ruth Yimika Afolabi (Magnify Collective) and a ‘show and tell’ evening where students presented their artwork.
